Our community

Our Mission

Our mission is to reach out and welcome all people who seek to receive the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and to proclaim the Orthodox Christian faith in order to glorify God and unite them into one sacramental community, through the worship and the beliefs of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

Our History

St. Paisius of Neamtz  is a Mission in the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas under his Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae. The Mission was established in  December 2023 to serve the needs of the growing Orthodox Community in Orlando metropolitan area , in the central region of the U.S. state of Florida.

Our Orthodox Mission was founded to welcome and receive all who seek the fullness of the Orthodox Christian faith, regardless of background or ethnicity. We are a warm Romanian and English–speaking bilingual community united in prayer, where the primary language of worship is English, so that all may fully participate and grow in the life of the Church.

The Mission has been named after Saint Paisius of Neamtz who has had an enormous influence, not only in Romania, but throughout the Orthodox world.  This influence has been felt even in America through Saint Herman of Alaska (December 13). Saint Herman was taught by Elders whose spiritual formation was guided by Saint Paisius. of Neamtz. who is commemorated in the Orthodox Church on November 15th.
